“The only way to be truly satisfied is to do great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle.”

THE BIRKMAN METHOD

Match your personality with your role

The Birkman Method helps you understand the best fit roles for the shape of your personality - when these align, we experience long term career satisfaction

Individual Needs

We all have different needs of our work environment and the people around us. When these needs are met, we feel fulfilled, engaged, and productive. Birkman  measures your needs and helps you understand how you can recharge, stay motivated, and avoid stress

Social Context

The Birkman Method is taps into what you believe about “most people” around you. This provides a unique glimpse into your perceptions of yourself and others. By clearly seeing your view vs the social norms you are better able to understand, respect and empathize with others.

Rich Comparisons

Motivation is a small part of what makes you productive. Birkman  includes rich data to allow you to compare your ways of communicating, interests and behaviours with individuals across a variety of other job fields. This provides you with rich information to make better choices.

CAREER CASE STUDIES

Writing a whole new story for my future

C’s parents had always wanted her to be a lawyer, but she was feeling flat and exhausted.

We started our coaching work with the Birkman Signature profile. Law was #17 on the list of jobs C should consider pursuing as a career. In first place was the field of Arts, Sports & Media.

“Ok - I get it. I’m giving up my legal career.”

C accepted an advertising agency internship where she thrived and has now set up her own copyright agency and started a family. A beautiful example of transferring expertise into a new career and finding a way to happily balance work and personal life.

Breaking out of the mould and into the clouds

T worked as an engineering consultant for a major global consultancy. He enjoyed his work, but was becoming increasingly unhappy.

T’s Birkman profile confirmed that although engineering was a good fit for his personality, he was in the wrong environment. His needs would be better met working in a less formal setting.

He started looking at new opportunities that offered him the chance to be ‘out and about’ and started a career training as an engineer on motor yachts. T is currently the 2nd engineer on a 58m motor yacht. He has sailed to the Mediterranean, Caribbean and beyond and is very happy with the direction his career is going in.
